Wood is currently recruiting for an Offshore Principal Cost Estimator to support
our Process & Chemicals Team. This role can be based in any of our UK offices,
including Reading, Staines, Aberdeen or Glasgow. The role can also be on a
staff or contract basis.
The Role
This is a fantastic role for the candidate who brings strong estimating
experience within an O&G project environment. The candidate will be responsible,
as and when required, for the Estimating of complete projects of all classes by
application of recognised norms and databases, including Wood internal
procedures.

Our Reading and Staines based Consulting business is currently made up of a team
of 50+ individuals providing high-end Consulting services to our clients that
provide the direction they need as their projects mature through the early
phases of the development cycle.
Across our Technical Consulting business, we service a varied client base
worldwide including; World Class private developers (major and independent),
investment banks, utilities & power generation companies, Technology Providers,
National, International and Private Energy Companies. We provide value added
services bespoke to the clients' requirements across; advisory services,
technical specialists, project management, owners engineering through all
pre-FEED project phases as well as supporting Wood Project and Operations
Business Units through FEED and EPC phases of the project lifecycle.
This Principal Offshore Cost Estimator role covers Upstream
developments, supporting operators and investors in the development,
optimisation, and life extension of offshore oil and gas assets, from concept
selection through to execution and operations. Complementing this, we
selectively support decarbonisation initiatives where they directly enhance
offshore asset performance and emissions intensity.
