We are responsible for transforming data into actionable insight that drives performance across every area of the business, from Finance and Commercial to Marketing, Product, Customer Experience and Retail. We are a curious, collaborative and ambitious team that values ownership, problem solving and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with senior stakeholders, and having a direct impact on business performance. About You We are looking for an Insights Analyst to join our Data and Insights function and play a key role in delivering the day to day analytics that keep Oner Active running and growing. This is a hands-on, technical role with a clear development path. You will spend most of your time building dashboards, writing SQL, and turning raw data into the reports and insights our trading, marketing, product, and finance teams depend on. You will report into the Data and Insights Manager, who will support your technical growth and act as your day to day sounding board on commercial topics. As Oner expands from a pure ecommerce business into bricks and mortar retail, you will help build the data foundation that supports this growth, with plenty of scope to grow your skills alongside the business. To thrive in this role, you should be genuinely curious about data, technically strong, and motivated by the craft of clean, well-built analytics. You should care about getting the numbers right, enjoy solving puzzles in SQL and Power BI, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is part of the job. Reporting and Dashboarding ◦ Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards across trading, marketing, product, CRM, finance, and operations. ◦ Develop robust data models in Power BI, including DAX measures, relationships, and refresh schedules. ◦ Own the day to day BAU reporting cycle, including weekly trade reports, daily KPI snapshots, and monthly commercial reviews. SQL Development and Data Engineering ◦ Write performant T-SQL against our Azure SQL data warehouse to deliver queries, views, and stored procedures that power our reporting layer. ◦ Support the development of curated data models and reusable datasets, ensuring consistency and accuracy across reports. ◦ Help maintain data pipelines and ingestion processes, troubleshooting issues and improving reliability. Ad-hoc Analysis and Insight Delivery ◦ Pull data and produce ad-hoc analysis for stakeholders across the business, from marketing campaign deep dives to product sell-through analysis. ◦ Work alongside the Data and Insights Manager on more involved commercial and finance workstreams, growing your exposure to higher-order analytical problems. ◦ Document analysis clearly, with a focus on reproducibility and ease of handover. Quality and Continuous Improvement ◦ Help maintain data quality across our reporting layer, flagging issues and proposing fixes. ◦ Contribute to the continuous improvement of our analytics tech stack and processes. ◦ Stay curious, share learnings with the team, and bring fresh ideas to how we work with data. Experience ◦ 2 to 4 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Insights Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role, ideally in a B2C, ecommerce, or retail environment. ◦ A track record of building reports and dashboards that have been used by commercial or trading stakeholders. Technical Skills ◦ Very strong SQL skills (T-SQL preferred), including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query performance optimisation. ◦ Very strong Power BI skills, including DAX, data modelling, and the design of clear, performant dashboards. ◦ Working knowledge of Python is a strong plus, particularly pandas, basic data manipulation, and notebooks. ◦ Comfortable with Excel at an intermediate to advanced level. ◦ Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure SQL is desirable. ◦ Familiarity with version control (Git) and good data engineering hygiene is a plus. Platforms ◦ Exposure to ecommerce platforms (Shopify or similar) is desirable. ◦ Familiarity with marketing platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google), CRM (Emarsys, Klaviyo), and attribution tools (Triple Whale) is a bonus. ◦ Awareness of bricks and mortar retail data sources (POS, in-store transactions, stock movements) is a plus given Oner Active’s omnichannel expansion. Mindset ◦ Curious, analytical, and detail-oriented. ◦ Comfortable with ambiguity and able to break a vague question into something answerable. ◦ Strong written and verbal communicator, with the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders. ◦ Growth-oriented and excited to learn in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
