Our client based in Stoke is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join their Review Team, working with adults with complex needs to ensure care and support arrangements remain appropriate, proportionate, and outcome focused. This role will focus on complex casework and statutory reviews, including involvement in Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, requiring a confident and skilled practitioner who can manage risk effectively while promoting independence and wellbeing. Working within a multi-disciplinary environment, you will take a strengths-based approach, carrying out holistic reviews, analysing risk, and ensuring that individuals receive the right level of support in line with current legislation and best practice. What will your responsibilities be? Managing a caseload of adults with complex needs, carrying out statutory reviews of care and support plans. Undertaking and contributing to Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring adults at risk are protected from abuse or neglect. Completing detailed, holistic assessments and reviews, balancing risk and independence. Analysing information from individuals, families, and partner agencies to inform defensible decision-making. Reviewing existing packages of care to ensure they remain appropriate, cost-effective, and outcome-focused. Applying a strengths-based approach to promote independence, choice, and control. Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and contributing to Best Interests decisions where required. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver integrated and person-centred outcomes. Identifying community resources and support networks to maximise independence and reduce reliance on formal services. Managing risk in complex cases, ensuring proportionate and legally sound decisions are made. Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to effective care planning and service delivery. Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to service development where required Skills: Strong analytical and assessment skills in complex review cases Ability to manage a demanding caseload and prioritise effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work confidently within multi-disciplinary teams High standard of report writing and case recording Strong organisational and decision-making skills Ability to balance risk, independence, and safeguarding Resilient, proactive, and solution-focused approach Ability to challenge appropriately and manage conflict where required Commitment to strengths-based and person-centred practice Benefits: Care Act 2014 Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA) Safeguarding Adults legislation (including Section 42) Qualifications & Experience: To be successful in this role you must have, Professional Qualification: • MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW Registration: • Must be registered with Social Work England Experience: • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience, including completion of ASYE • Strong experience within Adult Social Care • Proven experience managing complex casework • Experience undertaking Section 42 safeguarding enquiries • Experience completing: Care Act assessments and statutory reviews Mental Capacity Assessments Risk assessments and support planning • Experience working within a multi-agency environment • Experience reviewing and managing care packages Why Liquid Personnel?
