Job Description
We’re looking for an ER Advisor to join our Human Resources team!
Field-Based
The Sika team provides support to numerous vertical markets across the business, providing employee relations support to senior managers and people managers.
You will be joining a dynamic HR Team who are looking to take the way we support the business to the next level of value. We are on a journey to do this, but have a great team and positive relations with the business as a foundation.
We have sites in Leeds, Redditch, Preston and Welwyn Garden City. You will need to be flexible to travel between sites based on the needs of the business alongside some homeworking.

The Opportunity:
Manage a wide range of employee relations cases and coach and upskill managers in handling employee relations matters effectively
Supporting our operational business unit to ensure employee relations cases are managed effectively and in line with Company values
Provide timely, practical and commercially focused HR advice, ensuring all cases are managed consistently, fairly and in line with employment legislation and Company policies
Analyse ER trends, identify opportunities to strengthen manager capability and reduce risk and partner with HR colleagues to support organisational change programmes and people initiatives

The Support:
You will become part of a collaborative HR team, bringing together diverse backgrounds, extensive experience, and a strong commitment to supporting one another. In addition, you’ll be working with an engaged set of stakeholders who will value your knowledge and support.
You are empowered to work independently within your area of responsibility, but we regularly come together as a team and collaborate with the wider HR team.
You will also have the support of the fantastic HR Hub who will support with the transactional burden but also much more including provision of data and metrics, talent acquisition support and less complex ER issues.
A handover period of up to 4 weeks will be provided to help you gain knowledge about your business area.
Qualifications
Qualifications
CIPD L5 or Equivalent
Experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisor role
A Self-Starter with the ability to operate independently and delegate
Ability to build trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders
Ability to deal with a fast-paced environment
Ability to identify opportunities for value-adding initiatives and initiate action
Experience managing complex and sensitive ER cases
Down to earth and pragmatic (policy policers need not apply)
