We’re looking for a Flight Ops Officer to join a team at our headquarters in Malta. If you're passionate about aviation, enjoy solving challenges, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.
You'll become part of a close-knit Operations Control Centre team, supporting business jet operations around the world, 24/7. Whether you already have experience in private or commercial aviation, or you're looking to bring your flight operations expertise into a collaborative environment, you'll find a team that's always ready to support one another. We value people who take pride in their work, enjoy thinking on their feet, pay attention to the small details, and are happy working both independently and alongside colleagues.
Your duties:
Manage flight schedules and passenger information within the Flight Scheduling System.
Prepare IFR/VFR flight plans, including short-range and ultra-long-range EROPS operations, ensuring compliance with AOC and private operations requirements, as well as applicable flight planning and safety regulations.
Monitor worldwide weather, geopolitical developments and security situations that may affect flight operations.
Arrange aircraft handling services, fuel, VIP requests, lavatory and water services, towing, GPU, ASU and any additional ground support required.
Review and analyse NOTAMs, TAFs, and METARs throughout the flight planning and dispatch process, taking appropriate action whenever operational changes are needed.
Coordinate overflight and landing permits, airport slots, and flight feasibility checks across the global network.
Keep flight crews updated on ATFM slot allocations and any operational changes, particularly within European airspace.
Arrange customs, immigration and passenger-related requirements, including eAPIS and other documentation where applicable.
Work closely with the Ground Operations team to compare airport and handling options, review operational costs and stay informed on any travel restrictions affecting passengers or crew.
Arrange additional insurance coverage for operations into destinations with specific insurance requirements or restrictions.
Monitor worldwide traffic flow and adjust flight planning accordingly.
Requirements:
Previous experience in flight dispatch, including familiarity with PPS Flight Planning Software and GURU Weight & Balance.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, assess information quickly and make confident operational decisions.
Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional language skills are always welcome.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and coordinate effectively with colleagues, service providers, and clients.
A proactive, solution-focused mindset. We appreciate people who enjoy finding new ways to overcome challenges and think beyond the obvious.
A team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to support others.
General understanding of aviation regulations and operational requirements.
Willingness to work towards team objectives under the guidance of the OCC Supervisor.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
High school diploma (or equivalent) as a minimum. Further education is considered an asset.
Permanent EU work and residence permit.
