Assistant Design Manager
West Midlands
Ideally, you will based in or around the West Midlands area and will have the
opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
What you will be doing:
* Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
* Understanding of compliance with CDM 2015 and the principle of prevention and
safety in design.
* Assist or lead the design process in accordance with the Galliford Try
Building Management System.
* Assist in the Development and agreement of the scope and responsibilities
matrix for consultants and invite fees for the compilation and management of
the project fee schedule.
* Assist in the Development of the design programme in conjunction with the
Planner
* Develop, manage, monitor and report on the MIDP/ IRS and progress and quality
of design deliverables
* Ensure the design scope of works is understood.
About You:
* Experienced in and knowledge of CDM 2015.
* Aware of H&S responsibilities and adheres to company policies.
* Able read and interpret design and construction programmes.
* Understands buildability and will challenge if designs do not meet the
sequencing or construction methodology.
* Analytical with advanced problem-solving skills.
* Able to develop ideas and present concisely.
* Excellent communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders.
* Able to demonstrate commercial acumen and managing of design change process
