* Familiar with Safety Management, preventative maintenance and risk
assessment.
* Experience in establishing and coordinating Preventative Maintenance
programs, that ensure minimal downtime with our operations.
* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues
* Reliability – Proven ability to analyse breakdowns and contact approved
contractors to arrange repairs in good time. The ability to determine root
cause and develop data driven actions.
* Liasing with contractors to ensure adherence to onsite requirements (BRCGS,
H&S), ensure necessary paperwork is in place to carry out required works and
supervisor contractors when working within our facilities or our control.
* Source and evaluate new equipment or substitute equipment. Approve deviations
from standard equipment and parts. Assist in finding emergency replacement
parts or equipment.
* Equipment – Some experience with Pumps, Seals, Compressors, Centrifuges, and
Agitators, including sizing, specifying, installing, and maintaining.
* CIP/COP – Understanding of both Clean In/Out of Place equipment.
* Boilers – Understanding of gas boiler systems.
* Soft water System – Understanding of soft water system.
* Facilities Management – Manage maintenance schedule for site equipment and
utilities. Maintain and update maintenance and equipment files.
* Food Industry Experience – Familiar with HACCP, BRCGS and GMP practices.
Leads by example in food safety practices, addressing audit recommendations,
and ensuring maintenance practices do not put food safety at risk.

* Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position in a fashion that is

provisions and fulfill in all respects the requirements of his/her job. A.
procedures as defined shall be strictly observed.
* Kalsec, Inc. is committed to providing safe products to its customers. This
position requires completing annual training for Good Manufacturing
Practices, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, Food Defense and Food
Safety. Additional initial training and annual refresher training will be
assigned based on job classification. Training is conducted through Kalsec,
Inc.’s internal training or using external consultants and on-the-job
training in each department.
* Assist with implementation of Lean Manufacturing.
* Identify key areas for continuous improvement within the warehouse or
manufacturing process.
* Primarily facility-based
* Occasional travel to external courses and possible visits to head office in
the US.
* Contacts with all internal departments, Head Quarters, planning, warehouse,
sales team, customers.
